Oregon Dunes #2

Today's cover shot is from the Oregon Dunes National Monument on the Oregon coast. I like this area because with the ever present wind it is always changing. And, for the plants it is a constant struggle for survival.

This is only a rhetorical question but is there any other state that would take a forty mile long pile of wind blown sand and make a national monument out of it??? Just wondering. So, just like that we have arrived on the doorstep of yet another weekend. What's on your agenda for today? For me, the jury's still out and I don't have a clue what direction I'll be headed. Maybe it will become more clear with a little sleep. Have a great Saturday y'all...........

ALL - Take a moment to give this clip a listen. This is a 10 year old from Camas, Washington... just across the Columbia River from Portland. Her name is Lexi Lane

Carl we had a dusting of the white stuff this morning, but lots of sun now. Sorry about the white stuff on your end of the map.

Mariposa - It wasn't unexpected. They've been predicting it for several days and at last it's here. It's too warm for it to be a serious threat but that might change with colder temps tonight.

You're working today??

No work today it's my Saturday off. I would have gone in if the computers got fixed. I have no idea when that will happen. Next week will be real fun if it's not up and running Monday.

I cannot even imagine how "off" your inventory will be when they finally get it back up. You've got my sympathy & good luck.

I've done my best to keep track of what has gone where, but I know the guys from the store have snuck up the back way and snatched a few things. I can only hope I'm not too far off.
