Welcome back to the real world. If you have the day off.... Hooray For the GOOD GUYS! For everybody else... including me... it's just one more day but it's in a week that is somewhat weakend. And, the next refuge weekend is just around the corner! But, I hope your long weekend was a good'n! Mine certainly was. So, what's the general feeling today? I figure on just hangin' on & getting it behind me without too much damage being done to the space time continuum. We'll just have to wait and see I guess......
What a nice way to start out the shortened week... 54 degrees at 9:30 and headed into the low 70s here in the swamp this afternoon. Ya just can't get it better than that.
Wazzup today? I've got to make a trip to the other side of the world to pick up a spare battery for my new camera. Well, it feels like the other side of the world but in reality it's only 20 plus miles one way. But, I'll combine that with a lunch so it won't be too bad. I've also got to pick up a supply of deer food... I almost ran out over the long weekend. That would not have been good!
Wat ever you have to do today, have a great day doing it!
It is a beautiful day !!! Weather-wise that is. We got errands done but were behind so many idiots on the road, our blood pressure must have soared! Where do these brain dead drivers come from?!!! They don't know to turn right after stopping on a red light, they drive 20 in a 35 zone, one of the cars had very dark tinted windows all around...I thought that was illegal. Argghhh.
Carol I know what you mean about idiot drivers. On the way home tonight, while I'm zipping down the highway at 65MPH, a semi decided he wanted my lane. Problem was he was going much slower than me. I hit the brakes and looked in my mirror to see another car heading for my trunk. We all managed to get out of it in one piece but boy did I make a sailor blush....
Carol - You probably would not want to know what goes on in those cars with the darkened windows. I don't know how they get away with it 'cuz I also thought it was illegal. I think the cops just have too many fish to fry so they don't do anything about the really petty stuff. And, don't get me started on the morons who are behind the wheel. I think they are attracted out of hibernation by the appearance of the sun!! Oooooohhhhhhhmmmm! Oooohhhhhhhhmmmmm!
Mariposa, good for you! I can outdo most sailors too. I want to jump out of my car and go up to theirs and give them a piece of my meager mind, but in the present society, I'd probably get shot. Sooooo, I just curse them (and their relatives) and get on with my day. So glad I don't have the daily commute I used to.
BTW.. I enjoy being around ladies who can out-cuss me. It takes all the pressure off me to clean up my own language. Ummmm.... come to think of it, I was a sailor & I never got into that "blushing" thing. Maybe it's because I was a "flying" sailor & never got involved with the "boats" mindset! We just went in low and fast and then got the hell out of town when it got too hot to handle.
Carl, I know you are right about not wanting to know what is going on behind those dark windows, I am sure it has nothing whatever to do with 'driving the car'. :p

We had rain this morning, then cloudy, then sun, At least it cooled off some, only in the 80s today.
I managed to finish one of my quilt projects this weekend. I guess that means I can start on a new one.
Have a great evening.
