I've always like the leaves on those maples, they look so delicate.

It's been a rough weekend around my house. I spend most of yesterday nursing a headache, and it was not from a hangover.
My sister called me this morning and told me her oldest daughter tried to commit suicide last night. She is OK now, but I am afraid she will try again. The hospital should have kept her for observation, but they sent her home instead. I thik I need a long vacation.

Mariposa - Maybe your niece can now get the help she should have gotten in the first place. I have never understood why so many young women get to the point where suicide is more attractive than life. It is such a drastic permanent solution to temporary problems. They say though that most attempts are simply crying out for help... a way to get attention to their problems.

The laceleaf is the only maple that the deer don't have a feast on. I think it doesn't have enough sugar. They are pretty much idiot proof so I have no problems with them at all.
