She is plenty old enough to know better (just a few years younger than me) She is still having a difficult time with her leg injuries, broken femur, broken hip. She is a real slow healer. Gastric bypass a while back, and she won't eat right so not enough nutrients to help, she smokes, too much stress, all these things make healing difficult. This leaves her depressed. Yes she is on pills for that too, if she takes them. So much fun for the family...
Mariposa - It seems that every family has to have ONE of them. Yours seems to be covering the entire book on self abuse. It makes it tough to even try to help. No matter what you suggest, it just makes you the bad-guy. I don't deal very well with people like that. I just want to "BITCH SLAP" the crap out of them to get them focused on something besides "poor me". Good luck!
Mr Ed... I agree with you. I don't deal well with people who constantly abuse themselves then blame others. Some good professional help would be in order but the person has to want to try to get better.
We actually had to turn our furnace on today...it was only 44 outside and when we got back from our ride and 64 in the house. Cold, wet and windy ride. We dressed in our winter rain gear..and it wasn't too bad.
Carol - Yeah, it's been cold up here in the boonies too but I chose to just go with a sweatshirt. I haven't been home most of the day anyway so it didn't make too much difference to me. I snuck out for a spiced pork & black bean burrito down on the coast at La Rocha's. I didn't have anything better to do so I made a lunch-date out of it. The heat will probably come on tonight because the high at home has only been about 46ยบ this afternoon.
Wow, going to the coast for lunch is a fun idea. I remember you mentioning that restaurant. We might have to try it next time we make a beach run. We may have set a record today for the lowest temp daytime temp ever (ever) set in May.

Today's cover pic: Water so clear and pure you could make beer out of it and you'd see your reflecton coming back up the long neck.

Gee! Pills AND booze? Who woulda thunk that might not go well!
