My Irises are finally starting to wake up. I've got eight plants blooming now... all different colors. It's about time.

Sunny and muggy, heading toward 90° today. I think summer has arrived in the Ohio valley.
Ninety???? Yikes! Here in the swamp that's July & August temps. We're in the midst of a cool-down. We'll be lucky to hit 60ยบ through the rest of the week. The talking heads are actually predicting SNOW down below pass levels over the next couple of days. It won't affect me here but the temps will be in the bottom of the bucket. I'm sure glad I don't have my tomatoes in yet!
My tomatoes have been in a week or so and have blossoms on them. They seem to have grown a few inches too.
They have nice warm 'toes' so they are happy.
Filled a few more pots on the patio. Got some weeding in in the front beds and will continue tomorrow if the rain doesn't stop me. Also more to do in back, wish the flowers would grow as fast as the weeds!!
I got my mowing done in anticipation that the "heads" might be right for once. And, if they're full of crap like usual, it's still done and I don't have to worry about it. It was really pretty nice out there on the mower... temps in the low 70s & lots of sunshine. Come to think of it, it's the kind of day that would be perfect for playin' hookey! Wassa matta wit me????
