The Vet called yesterday and told us the tumor she removed from the dog was cancerous. They think they got all of it but that is not saying weather or not it has spread,or that it might recur later. I wish they had been more honest when they gave us the results of the biopsy before the surgery, instead of we are not sure but it looks suspicious. It is what it is so I will just hope for the best for my little one.
Mariposa - Let's just hope beyond hope that they got it all. You said she was 12? They did a biopsy and failed to tell you it was cancerous??? I think I'd be looking for a more reputable vet and a law firm. Good luck on the outcome!
Mariposa, I am so sorry about the diagnosis on the dog. What breed is she? My cat was about 13 or 14 when she had a cancerous tumor removed from the tailbone area and she lived to be 20 1/2. There is hope, I would also get another vet. It's so sad that the lawyers have made it useless to file law suits, they make all the money.
Carl, did you get my e-mail pictures? I don't know if you do e-mail anymore as I had sent stuff in the past but never got answers so I quit. I always hate to send more e-mail if I don't get a response.
Carol - I got the pics. It is a beautiful color & I don't think I've ever seen one like it.
I keep track of all my emails but I stopped sending out any of the "cutesy" ones to anyone. A couple of people I've known a long time bitched me out over them so I just quit. I really enjoy getting most of them so I haven't said anything to anybody. I don't think there has been any occasion where you asked something of me & haven't responded has there? If so, it certainly wasn't intentional.
Mariposa - Definitely SMOOTH! I've tried appeasing the Rain God with sugar & it never worked for me. I wonder how peanut butter & BROWN sugar would work.....
Mariposa - I look at a law suit as nothing more than a platform to stand on to take the issue public. But, you're right. The lawyer would make all the money and it would end up costing you in the long run.
Carl, you have always responded to my e-mail when it has been conversational or when I have had a question so that was never a problem. I meant that when I used to send you jokes you never responded so I thought you might not care to receive them. If it doesn't bother you, I'll send you the creme de la creme only. That is all I send to people, I get some really stupid stuff that I just delete.
Yes, you may put the pictures on the blog - they aren't really reflective of the bloom when it was at its best, but the foliage is very unusual. The bloom was a soft lavender color but as the rain hit them and then they fade, they look more blue.
Mariposa, your Lili looks like she has some Collie in her or German Shepherd? Your white cat reminds me of my Hardy...he was such a great cat!!! All 17 pounds of him! We still miss both kitties.
Carol - I think most of the emails are a complete hoot. And besides, it means somebody was thinking of me at that moment and sent something that might bring me enjoyment. :o)
Mariposa, this is why I do not - repeat, do not go to places that have pets available - I'd buy out the place and be one of those old ladies with 14 animals running the household. We are both too softhearted where little animals are concerned.
Carol - In order to be qualified as one of those "Crazy Old Ladies" with animals, you have to have one animal for each of your years of age. Less than that formula you're just a "hoarder".
