But, but, but...... there's always Saturday and Sunday. You never know when "Mothers Little Helpers" will be needed! And, you might get some unexpected company....
Mariposa, I'm with Carl....one beer (ONE!!!) is a sacrilege LOL. Seriously, if more people only had one drink there would be a lot fewer accidents, fights, shootings, etc. However, I'm in the old school where 1 is just getting started...we are mostly at home though, so can't get into too much trouble and after all our years together, we've managed not to harm each other :) :)
We had some real wild storms this afternoon. I left work early, just in time for the fun to begin. We had 60 to 90 MPH winds then the rain came. The rain lasted for about an hour so now I don't need to water my flowers tonight.
Mariposa - I hadn't planned on an Ohio stop unless there's something there I really need to take care of. And, it's quite a bit out-of-the way between the swamp and Las Vegas. Auntie Em is now expecting me tomorrow so I'll get skinned alive if I don't show up. I will fly out of here at 9:30 in the morning and I'll leave to come back at 4:30 Monday afternoon.
I'm with Carol on the wind damage. If we had that here, the flowers would be flat with trees laying on top of them. I'm not sure but I think it only got to the mid 70s here today. Just a lovely pre-summer day in the swamp.
If anyone else besides me is TIRED of being bombarded by pop-up on-line advertising that is targeted specifically to your internet search and visit history, Watch This!
Then, if you wish to put a stop to this "targeted" advertising, Run This!
I installed this program on my computer last Monday and since that time it has blocked over twelve thousand attempts to harvest my history. I can testify that this program works and since Monday, the advertising specifically targeted to my online usage has dropped to NONE! I still get advertising but it now is generic and sites I have authorized, rather than targeted and the volume is significantly less.
If you have doubts about installing "Do Not Track Plus" on your computer, check it out with your own Tech and Google it at "Do Not Track Plus"! As I said, I can personally testify that it WORKS! If it didn't, I wouldn't put it up here. Google, MSN, MSNBC, Fox, & CNN, to name a few, all harvest your information and sell it to the highest bidder. You cannot block the cookies from these sites or they simply will not work... and you lose. This program solves that problem. :o)
Note: If you are using more than one browser, (Internet Explorer, Foxpro, Google Chrome, etc.) you will have to install it using each browser you use for it to be 100% effective.
There were lots of limbs down and thousands of people lost power due to limbs taking down lines. We were lucky this time and escaped without any damage. It certainly helps not having any trees on our little plot of land.
Mariposa - It sounds like you had a microburst from a storm cell. They can do a lot of damage... putting planes & trucks on their backs, ripping out trees.... Ummmmmm. You get the idea! Thank goodness they are fairly centralized and go away as quickly as they come. And be glad that, in this case, you don't have any trees!
Carl my first thought as I was getting on the highway to go home was "What the hell am I doing, with winds that high I could get stuck here because some poor trucker got his truck blown over" Fortunately for ever one the roads remained clear and I made it home in one piece.
I installed the do not track thingy and in an hour I've had over 100 trackers blocked;)
