Today's cover shot is a Barn Owl... one of the medium to large sized owls. These guys have a unique face and fly on nearly soundless wings. If you hear it at all, you have to be very close to its flight path.

The Barn Owl is the only owl that I don't find cute.
When are the test results going to come back on Joey?
Carol - Anytime from tomorrow on for Joey's results. DNA testing is complex I guess.
Yes, I know the tests take a long time and it surprises me that the results are going to be back so soon, but cats are not as complex as humans so that might be part of the reason.
Carol - All they are looking for is genetic presence of Felis rufus (bobcat) markers. There are seven Felis Catus (domestic cat) species but since I had him neutered, I don't really care about any of that information or what part of the world he might have immigrated from. ☺
I made it back from the dentist none too worse for the wear. She fixed the problem but told me if I did it again I would need a crown. SOOOOOOOOOOO no corn on the cob, or biting into apples and such.
I've been spending most of my free time in front of my sewing machine trying to finish up the 4 quilts. I have three of them quilted. One more to go then the binding and I can send them on to their new home.
