Hump Day! Have a great one.

The talking heads caught my attention with their weather forecast in last night's late news. They are saying that we have already turned the corner into Fall. What??? They cited the amount of rain we have gotten here in the swamp just recently along with temperatures and weather patterns that we've had and will be having shortly. They also talked about the first frost of the year for the central part of the state. All kind of interesting when it's combined with changes I've seen that are already taking place in the trees. For once, they just might be right. When I start seeing lows in the low to mid 40s, I'll be completely convinced.

Fall is only a few days away...they say it starts officially on the 22nd but I'll always think of the change of the seasons as the 21st day of the month in which they occur: Spring - March 21, Summer - June 21 and so on. Old lessons are hard to get past and it's so much easier to remember.
It's really beautiful out now, sunny and 70 with a nice NW breeze.

It has been an absolutely beautiful late summer day here in the swamp today. It has been right at 72º most of the afternoon... & it's started to come down slightly from that. It just doesn't get better than that. I'm hoping it holds that way through the weekend.... Hope, Hope, Hope! I've got a bunch of fall cleanup work to get done.
