I think we may be on the back side of this super storm that's been hammering us here in the swamp. It's still windy but the winds have tapered off from what they were yesterday. The rain has lightened up a lot too. As of midnight I had another half inch in the rain gauge. That brought my total to about 3½ inches of rain since this thing blew in. I heard that Astoria (on the coast) got over 10 inches. Overall, we didn't do too badly out here in the boonies. We were without power and the internet was down for several hours but everything seems to be back to normal. I had to reset my wi fi modems but that's par for the course & has to be done anytime the power blinks. Now I'll have to wait until daylight to see how much cleanup I've got to deal with. ☺

I've got another Dr. appointment this morning. I'm going over all the med changes with my primary care provider. So far, I've been pretty impressed with the changes my cardioquack has come up with but we're doing it in very small steps. No killer reactions this time!
Carol - The biggest problem is getting them out of the "reinvent the wheel" frame of mind. I have a pre-existing four year old problem that they are rushing to fix without looking at the history. This last series of scans provided a pretty good look at the full length of my aorta and it scared the crap out of them. It doesn't show anything I haven't lived with for four years but it's all brand new to these quacks and they "have to fix it...NOW"! And, they completely overlook the obvious that everything they want to do has been looked at a dozen times. And, no matter what it is, it's only "patch work." I can live with where I am but they have to "fix" it. I just happen to have complete faith in the original doctors with Kaiser who set the treatment plan into motion. It has been successful in keeping me alive for four years. I go though this crappola every time a new doctor comes on board.
On the plus side.... I have cut back on dosages of three meds over the past week to where I am now at 25% of where I started with them. And, I've done it with very small steps and very careful monitoring of my BP & pulse rate so I know exactly what the cause and effect is. Nobody wants to be free of this crap more than I do but I'm not going to kill myself doing it.
Carol - I admire your fortitude to go riding in this weather. WOW!!!! I've ventured out into it and have needed to change coats several times. I spent several hours inside the shop working on one of my tractors and got that project finished while staying dry at the same time.
Kind of a quiet night for a change weather-wise. I got another 3/10 inch in the rain gauge today but after showers this evening, no rain tonight... for a change. This weather has been a wild ride for the entire northwest. The south Seattle area got hit with a tornado today... came down right between large warehouse buildings at Boeing. Dumped several railcars over and tossed some cars into a fence surrounding a parking lot. Whee!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of fun! Tornadoes normally don't touch down here in the northwest and when they do it's normally just for a moment or two and then they're gone. Unusual weather for sure!!

I just liked the color and artistry of this shot.

♫♫♪It's raining, it's pouring....♫♫♪ AGAIN... but not as much! Only .07 in the gauge since midnight but raining harder again now.
The boss said yes to the plans. I think that is only because he didn't want to try and come up with something different.

Sounds like some one finally figured something out.
I was just wondering... If you stop taking sooooo many pills, who will support all the Pharmaceutical companies?
Well we are back from one of the wettest rides we have taken in many moons. Blaack. I'll be glad when this is over.
Mr Ed..sounds like you are making progress with the 'quacks'.
Mariposa - I own pharmaceutical stock.
