I think our severe weather is a "bust". Almost midnight and so far it has rained enough to get the concrete wet (just barely) and that's about it. No thunder-boomers! No lightning! Not even enough weather to keep the deer under cover. They showed up right on time to have their late night feeding and then wandered on their way. I think I need to quit listening to the advance crappola and go back to sticking my head out the window to see what's going on. It must be nice to have a job where you only have to be right 10%of the time. Oh well! We needed the little bit of rain we got.
You ever notice that the weather forecasters (?) never say they goofed. They just blather on like they got everything right. Sort of a microcosm of a lot of things now...no one is accountable anymore.
Carol - Okay! I "goofed"! I confess! I really "screwed up"! Once again I listened to those "blathering idiots" and believed 'em. Will I never learn from MY mistakes? Apparently not! I keep making the same ones over and over and over and over..... I thought that newest weathercaster(on 2 or 6? Sally something), might be someone we could believe because she is a LOOOOOOOOONG way from being a "pretty" face. But, apparently not! Wrong again! She too is just an "empty" head. I need to start paying more attention to my deer. They knew they weren't going to get zapped. And, I wouldn't say they have a "pretty" face but they are "cute".
That woman is a sick hoarder. If she really cared for cats, she would open a large shelter and hire people to care for them, and then adopt them out. It's a disease when it get to the point she's at.
Carol - I thought her careful attention to detail in providing them sanitary dining, really spoke for itself. But, I guess it's better than throwing in a quarter of beef or a couple of freshly caught carp for them to fight over.
Mr Ed....I remember the Preying Mantis you had a picture of not long ago and I was watering my containers on the patio when a pale yellow one jumped out of the container (or plant) and onto the lawn! It was fairly large too...I have never seen one 'live' before, only in pictures. I think its wings were wet so it just stayed on the lawn in the sun and wandered around. Joe tried to get a picture of it with the iPad but it didn't really come out that well.
Hark! Is that rain I hear on my skylights? Forsooth! Is that the sound of THUNDER rumbling in the distance???? Oh GREAT TALKING HEADS... you don't need to hit me with a lightning bolt! I'm headed for the sacrificial altar right now! Forgive me for doubting your wisdom.

Holy MERDE! OMA! And I was feeling a little bit guilty about the eight that depend on me. At least all mine have names and not just numbers!

Geez, I do hope she is not as cavalier about their litter box needs as she is about the food!!
