Welcome to Sunday. Man... is it WET out! I just checked my rain gauge & I've got right at 2¼ inches in it so far from our super storm. The wind hasn't been too bad here in the boonies.. only had the power go out once for about a half hour. I don't know what's going on now. It seems to have eased off somewhat but it's still raining pretty hard. I checked with other weather stations around this area and they're all showing from 1½ to 3 inches so far. I think Portland's official weather station is showing about the same amount as I've gotten here at mi casa.
Have yourself a great Sunday & I'll just continue staying inside where it's dry!
Carol - I set it that way when I was in the Carribe. It's closer to being accurate for Mariposa's time zone. It doesn't really matter what the time hack says but it affects when the day's page rolls over to the next day so for convenience, I leave it that way. I'm anticipating that at some point I will be going back to the Carribe if these damn quacks don't manage to kill me off. If it bothers you I suppose I could take it completely off.
Just read the weather alert...don't like to think of more heavy wind. We didn't have any damage in our area but this second blast could do some. The wind alert is for 3:00 to 11:00pm and seems to be as strong if not stronger than the one last night. I'll be glad when it's over !!!
Well as might be expected, power went down about two hours ago and it took the internet with it. The FUN part of living in the boonies with an unlimited supply of trees to break and come down on utilities. Thankfully it's kinda quiet out there now. Maybe we'll get out the other side of this thing.

We don't have a rain gauge but from the sound on the roof I'm sure we had as much as you did.
Extended forecast shows a nice day on Thurs, sure hope they are right.
It just seems tooooo early for all this rain.
Guess we should wear scuba gear for the bike ride. I didn't go yesterday because I couldn't face the wind.
Mr.Ed, how come the time on here is 4 hours ahead?? It's 5:49 now but my last comment showed 9:48 - Why not put it on Pacific time?

No,it doesn't bother me, I was just curious...your explanation makes sense now. I just didn't know what time zone was 4 hours ahead of Pacific.
I really am hopeful that you WILL get back to the Carribe. At least you still have Mermaid waiting for you, or have you sold her.
Carol - I haven't sold her. Several offers but just not close enough.
I remember you said you had turned down a few low-ball offers, maybe it's just meant to be that you'll be back with her someday soon.
Another 7/10 inch of rain in the gauge at noon. Next wind coming in a couple of hours. Weather is so much fun!!!

I'm a drowned rat! I just helped my friends get their fifth-wheel moved in and set up... in the RAIN of course. I need a drink and some dry clothes.
