And, a "Top 'o the mornin'" to you. Just a little bit more & we can put this week to bed. We just have to ease through today and tomorrow....

I'm thinking I may just stay in bed & pull the covers over my head all weekend. The weather forecast for the swamp looks absolutely UGLY!!!!! It looks like the Northwest has a regular "gully-washer" coming in that's a spinoff from former typhoon Pabuk located off the coast of Japan. It's always something! They're talking ten inches of rain in some areas but only about two inches in others! That's belly deep to a tall dachshund no matter how much it is. The second part of any storm forecast is always the damn wind and I HATE wind! I always lose power and internet.... usually at exactly the same moment. Maybe I should just take my laptop & run away from home.... ummmm..... nope, can't do that.... need to stay and feed the cats. But, if I disappear this weekend it's probably because nothing works out here in the boonies when the power takes a dump. ☺

Today is nice but something wicked this way comes!! I heard that 2 funnel clouds were spotted near Salem yesterday but never touched down thankfully. I'm with you Mr Ed on hating the wind but for different reasons. We seldom lose power here but it makes biking difficult.

Mariposa, do you really read blueprints? That's impressive :) :)

Carol yes I read blue prints, but only if they are clearly labeled "FOR IDIOTS ONLY"

Mr. Ed, It not how much head room we have, it's how high the forklift will reach. We are using the shelving we all ready have so it is just a matter of where to put it. Freddie and I went to the new building today with blue prints, and tape measures and I think we came up with a reasonable solution.

Mariposa - It sounds like you've got it figured out. The forklift reach is always a factor.

Ummmm... don't they have a "Blueprints For Dummies" book out?

Carol - With the wind, it's not just the loss of power. It's just irritating and one more thing to "hack" me off! When it's severe I always end up with broken branches & tops blown everywhere and it just makes another mess I have to clean up.

Carol - I've got a cool pic of a funnel cloud a few weeks back. It didn't touch the ground and was just a "lucky" shot. It's still on the Nikon's memory card. It doesn't show that much so I didn't download it to Photobucket.

Wind really has an effect on people. I think it's Laramie, Wyo (it might me Casper) but they have a very high suicide rate and they attribute it to the wind that never stops. That's understandable to me but the wind blows nearly non-stop in many, many cities on the Great Plains.

Also on the suicide issue, we in the Pacific NW have a very high rate too and I've never understood it unless it's because this area attracts a lot of the crazies.

Carol - I think your last sentence pretty much says it all.
