Today is the day of the laser clean up of my right eye. Going under the beam at 1:30. Looking forward to seeing clearly again :)

Carol - A laser in the eye sounds very scary to me! I've heard all the reassurances about how safe it is but eyes are special. I have a friend who has had both eyes worked on and he loves the results. So, good luck with it & enjoy your new "clear" vision. I'll be "nervous" for you so you won't have to be. ☺

Thanks! I'll let you know the results. The whole thing sounded awful to me at first, but the cataract surgeries went so well, I'm not too worried about this. Glad to have you in my corner though :)

Carol - Just thinkin' about it: Coming from a guy who gets a needle into his eye once a month, it's probably ridiculous for me to think a laser might be scary..... ☺

It appears that fall might really have arrived here in the swamp. The Weather Bureau just came out with a frost warning for the next few nights in the less "urban" areas around Portland. That's the "politically correct" description for "the boonies." Here at my altitude, that probably means my tomato plants are going to be history unless I cover 'em with plastic. The jury is out on whether it's worth the effort! We'll have to see what I feel like at Miller Time. They just haven't done that well this year but the vines are finally pretty well loaded.

Eye stuff is all done...it was a breeze really. Vision will clear up in a few hours and be completely clear in a day or so. Glad it's all done :)

We are going to dig up the tomato plants and do some other stuff in the next few days as the weather will be much nicer.

Next door neighbors are doing a lot (a LOT) of yard work..Got a crew in there on Monday and are completely re-doing their front yard and a lot of the back and the side next to our driveway. It's amazing the work they have done in not quite 3 days!!! If we ever want anymore done professionally, we will hire these guys. They even took out a tree in our front yard area at no charge!!! Joe gave them some money anyway.

I heard from Auntie Em's attorneys this afternoon. They have completed the work on her will and have notified everyone what their share of the property division will be. The daughter and gd are making threats to contest the division but they've been warned that there is a provision in the will that will cut them out if they do. So, they're thinking about it & going over it with their own attorneys I guess. I'll be glad when this stuff is all wrapped up. The gd is really PI$$ED that she is getting nothing more. Oh well, not my fight.

As soon as weather gets better I need to schedule a road trip to deal with her wishes for her ashes. She wanted to join my uncle Hal in the location where his ashes were spread when he died.

This week we are going through our end of the year exercise in futility around work. I can't receive anything, I can't transfer stuff between the warehouse and the stores, so this should be a quiet week.

So far I have 16 skids of freight and a two more skids of fun stuff from UPS. Maybe Friday I can start doing what I should.

I am just worn out from not being able to do things, I don't like being behind.

Mariposa - I am so glad I am past all that "organized" work crappola. I think if I was in your position, I would have a lot of problems just remaining "civil".
