Today's cover shot - One of my favorite subjects.... Very old! Very weathered! And, undoubtedly with a very interesting story to tell if only walls could talk......
Monday, Monday! Make the most of it! Weather permitting, and it looks like it will, equipment will begin work cleaning up this latest property acquisition of mine. The plan is to just do the minimum needed to enable replanting. All the logging debris will be piled & burned but we'll leave as many stumps in place as possible for stability & erosion prevention.
Happy Columbus Day! One of those non-holiday holidays. Federal employees get the day off... of course.. but they're shut down anyway so no difference there. Banks.... probably closed but not necessarily. State and local... probably open. And, for the rest of us peons... work as usual.
More work in the back yard. Few more days and it will all be done. Whew!
Perfect weather for it though!! I'd take another few months of this.
