Today's cover shot: The very beginning of Reign Creek on Aspen Hill.

Tuesday! Make of it what you will!

We had the first real frost of the season here in the swamp overnight... 27º here at mi casa.... brrrrrrrr! It was colder higher up but that's a problem I don't have to deal with. It's a very pretty morning after though with the white melting into darker patches. I love the art Mother Nature provides us.....

Today is National Cat Day. I had so many volunteers to choose from but I narrowed it down to Joey - my 17 pound Pixie-Bob to be my spokes-cat for the day.

He is a cutie. Have you had any luck with him playing nice with your other kitties?

Mariposa - Joey only knows one speed when it comes to others. I still have to keep him isolated. I've tried medications on him but nothing has worked so far. The problem isn't all him. The others are deathly afraid of him and so they react and that triggers his instincts to dominate them. I've had a couple of people who wanted to adopt him but I refused because I wasn't sure they would keep him under control. He could do MAJOR damage to a two year old (or any other animal) if provoked. He never shows any aggression with me. We really bonded after he had been shot and I can do anything to him. He's an absolute LOVER! A PROBLEM to be sure but toward me, a very affectionate one! He's my BUDDY!
