Today's cover pic: Another close-up macro. This guy is a mature male dragonfly looking for a mate.

Saturday! Here we are! Another weekend of catch-up for me. I spent all day yesterday getting a lot of stuff out of the way. I spent half the day ripping out my hot tub. I disconnected the power from it a couple of months ago and my power bill went down $50 bucks a month. It takes a lot of power to keep the water circulating and heated. If I ever used it I would have kept it despite the cost but I outgrew it. I also cleaned my gutters.... long overdue and needed.

I got notified yesterday that I was the successful high bidder for another foreclosure property. This one is in pretty sad shape... just like the last two. But, the price was fantastic and it has acreage that can be reclaimed. This one will probably take a couple of years to restore... something to keep me busy! It's got a house and a couple of barn-type buildings on it but they're not worth saving. My plan; level the buildings & plant more trees!

Mariposa - It sounds like you are now paying the price for the week you took off. It seems like it always works out that way.

Mr Ed...congrats on your property purchase. We can always use more trees!! As you said, it will keep you busy.

I never could get used to the idea of a hot tub or spa. I don't like the idea of bathing with friends. Dinner and drinks, fine, but that's close enough.

Mr. Ed it was not the week I took off. It is the stupid rules about end of the year. I can't do my job until the front office is happy with all the reports they generate. I could not do anything for three days, then I am supposed to catch up in one. I work hard, but I don't do miracles.

Heading out tonight with the hubby to hear him play with a band he joined a few weeks ago. Should be fun I haven't been in a bar for many, many years.

Carol - The hot tub can be very relaxing and romantic. My use was mostly for therapeutic reasons. It's great for relaxing aching muscles & creaky joints. It was a great place to sit & watch the stars & enjoy a drink... often with a date. But I haven't used it in a looooooooong time so it was ridiculous to keep it. I think I'm past the romantic date stage.

Mariposa - Have fun with your night out. It'll be fun for your hubby to be in a band.
