Still wandering around the desert wondering what I'm supposed to do with this newly gained "treasure!" I wish I knew what uncle Hal had on his mind when he bought them. Unfortunately, he died in 1997 and apparently didn't talk about it with anyone. I'm going to go back over all the paperwork Auntie Em had to see if there's anything that offers an answer. I'm afraid it'll be a dead end though. He was a land developer that specialized in small strip-malls and buildings for Post Offices. Of course, the opportunities he saw 20 years ago are undoubtedly long gone by now. I wonder what rattlesnake habitat is worth now....
i'm starting to miss the cats. I think I' just about maxed out with the southwest. There's only so many ways you can package rocks and sand & keep it interesting. There are times I regret being such a "LONER"!
Mariposa - My cat sitter has it under control but I do miss them. I think I'm just getting burned out on Motel living, This trip hasn't been very productive. All I've seen is desert property that, unless I'm missing something, isn't worth much. There must be something I'm not seeing and I'm wondering WHY Auntie Em wanted ME to have them. But it was her wish that I have them but I don't have a clue as to WHY!
In the meantime, I've got tree planting underway at home and I'm not there to keep it on track. I guess I shouldn't be worried. I'm using the same crews I always use and they know what they're doing. I'm just a worry-wart!
Mr.Ed, guess you can check with the local real estate companies to see what the property is worth. You also could just hold onto it and hope it increases in value, but seeing where it is, I somehow doubt that. There is an ever increasing water shortage in those areas too. Best case scenario would be to strike oil or gas. :)
The entertainment value of this blog depends upon the contributions of those who visit. If you have something on your mind... toss it out and see who responds. If you have nothing on your mind, a simple "hi" is always nice.

Come on back to where it's green and tree-filled.
Mr. Ed you could always come to Ohio for a visit, I'm sure the sand would start looking much more inviting:)
My big question is: "What did he intend to do with it"????
