49ยบ and wet this morning.... Yep! No doubt about it! It's sooooo much better than being up to your butt in SNOW! I'll probably get some more of that in the Heights later this week but at least I won't have to shovel it!
I checked on my newly planted baby trees yesterday and it looks like the crew did a perfect job. But the final test always is how many make it through the next summer. It always depends on the amount of rain we get in the months after they are planted. I always figure I'll lose half of them and I'm happy when it's not that severe.
Eggs Benedict for breakfast... that's the plan. There's a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant about 20 minutes away that does them perfectly. And, I even have a DATE! Wooo Hoooo! Film at eleven!
Lot's warmer here today! Our bike ride was a lot warmer too, even tho it was very gusty.
Mr Ed, glad your tree planting went well. Better than "Friends of Trees" did along the 205 bike path. What can I say, with 'Friends' like them, the trees don't need enemies. I e-mailed them with my thoughts, I never heard back and that was last year...they lost over half of the ones that were planted. Also they placed wooden polls beside each tree but never took them down so the whole area all along several miles of the path looked very 'junky'. Who pays for this stuff? Arrrghhhh. They will probably be back this Spring doing it all over again and wasting more money, time and tree saplings.
