TGIF!!!!!!!! Wow! That was a SHORT week. Now, if the weekend will just go into slow motion to compensate.......
Today's cover shot: One of our Snowy Owls visiting from Canada. You can't see it but he had a rodent he was working on. Poor critter got invited to lunch & didn't read the menu........ Nature is brutal!
Wow! I think that pretty well sums up how the Blazers played last night. They just seem to keep getting better. I was happy to see them taking it to the rim in the second half. It was like they couldn't miss with the threes but then they held a class on scoring from the paint. They may have a future beyond the regular season after all. I've been impressed with their talent all year but now they are stepping it up a notch. Now I'm really impressed. The mantra now needs to be "stay healthy"!
Mariposa - Time for the Buckeyes to show us what they can do. Orange Bowl time! Go Bucks!
Mr Ed, from last night, I agree with you on the old fashioned books and yes, the newspaper too. Since the Oregonian is only delivered in Portland 4 days a week, we cancelled it. As to books, I always prefer them and have never read a book 'on line'. I get all mine from the library since I am a voracious reader and would spend thousands if I had to buy them. There is a book exchange booth a few blocks from us. I don't know who set it up but anyone can get books there and return them if they want or put some in there for others to enjoy. My hairdresser has a similar thing in the salon. It's a great idea.
Carol - The Oregonian delivery is the same out here in the boonies but on its non delivery days it's available over-the-counter in stores. So, on those days my delivery person picks up one and brings it to me...for a monthly tip of course. I understand that a lot of the Oregonian delivery people have similar off-day deliveries they've set up. I know! I'm SPOILED! But it's worth it to me to not have to go get it.
The entertainment value of this blog depends upon the contributions of those who visit. If you have something on your mind... toss it out and see who responds. If you have nothing on your mind, a simple "hi" is always nice.

22-20 Buckeyes at half time. It has been one wild game so far.
Some really useful content here. I've been looking for something like this to help with a research piece I've been working on.
