Mariposa - I like the symmetry of the time stamp on your comment.
I've actually got a couple of Currier & Ives prints. I haven't had them hanging for quite a few years but I still have them.
Sunday! A well earned and much deserved day of rest. I got all my snow clearing done yesterday and now if Mother Nature will just leave well enough alone..... I can only hope.
Yesterday was not bad. We should get about two more inches of the white stuff today. Back to the deep freeze by mid week. Yup Ohio weather acting just like it is supposed to.
The forecast for the swamp is back to warmer temps and just plain RAIN by this afternoon. YAHOO!!! Don't know what happened to the freezing rain part we're supposed to get but it mostly missed me. I can live without it!
Hello from the frozen 'north'....we have ice all over everything!! Guess we'll be stuck inside all day today too. Forecast is for gradual warming but now they are saying it won't happen in Portland until tomorrow. South of us will warm first. That is you Mr. Ed. 8)
Carol - I've been in a beach chair under my palm tree with an umbrella drink in hand. Seriously, it's still below freezing but I haven't seen the freezing rain. It kind of drizzled ice crystals overnight but it just piled up on top of the snow. I think I'll believe the warm up when I actually see it. I've got over a foot of snow on the ground. I'm sure glad I cleared the driveway yesterday!
Our thermometer says 33 but the icicles are still frozen, no drips yet.
Mariposa, are your winters this bad every year? Do you get snow every year? I am glad we don't! This is just paralyzing the city...we even had an alert go out over the phones to tell people to stay in due to the ice.
Carol we get snow every year, it doesn't always last this long. It has been an unusually cold winter, so we are not getting the melt off we usually do.

I haven't thought of Currier & Ives in years.

Just dumb luck on the time stamp.
Mariposa - I suspected at least cunning calculation...
Is your weather behaving itself? I may be premature but I believe we're headed toward normalcy here in the swamp.
