Hoo doggies!!! We made it to the sanctuary of the WEEKEND! Now all we have to do is survive all this CRAPOLA Mother Nature is throwing us. I've given up on trying to figure out when we'll be out of this. I've switched over to the four-wheel-drive mode and retreated to inside. If I gave a Royal-Rats-Rip about the Olympics, it would be a good weekend to just stay parked in front of the TV. But, since I don't give any kind of a "RIP" about the Olympics.... I guess I kinda answered that one before it got out of the gate.
Have a great Saturday! Stay safe and warm! I'll be the one here in the swamp growling at each snowflake as it falls silently from the clouds........
Mariposa - But it's so PRETTY!!!!!!!!!! I really do enjoy the beauty... HONEST!
We're getting ready for "Round Three" of this winter weather trilogy. The newest storm coming in later today is supposed to be the biggest one yet. Now they're saying we'll start moving out of this stuff Monday or possibly Tuesday at the earliest.... and not until everything is covered in at least a quarter inch of ice. I think of all the stuff winter throws at us, I HATE freezing rain the most! Invariably it leads to trees breaking due to the weight and taking down power lines. More often than not, just the weight of the ice on the power lines is enough to take them down. It really sucks when it's cold and DARK!
Winter is so much more romantic and a lot more fun when you don't have to LIVE in it.
Just read the updated weather alert. Heavy snow, wind and freezing rain are all on their way starting this morning and continuing until Sunday at 4:00pm.
I am feeling housebound. Hope it really will clear up on Monday. It is beginning to sound doubtful.
