Mariposa - Here in the banana belt it's a balmy 15ยบ... again! More snow on the way today and over the weekend as well. I've got six to eight inches on the ground at mi casa.... so far! There's over a foot of new higher up. I think most of Portland got three or four inches... enough to turn it into a parking lot.
Hello from the "Parking Log"....what a hoot, watching the traffic snarl itself all over. We were warm and comfy and having fun watching others go thru what we had to years ago. We bad, we bad.
More on the way around the same time today...maybe 2 to 4" - I don't really mind since I don't have to go out.
I do have a Dr appt on Mon afternoon and am hoping it will all be gone by then.
Mariposa, we do have a snow shovel somewhere in the garage. I hope we don't have to use it, I have laid in a supply of beer and groceries so we should be fine. 8-)
I just heard there could be freezing rain tomorrow, just to put a nice "coating" on the snow. YUK!!
My mistake about the snow shovel...Joe said it broke years ago. Who knew??? Anyway, he shoveled a walkway down our driveway and up the front walkway with a shovel we had that worked just as well. It was just narrower than a reg snow shovel.
If I have to move snow, it's going to be done with my John Deere. It has a nice bucket designed to do things like that. In normal years I do my driveway and the road past my house at least once a winter. I also do the driveways for a couple of neighbors as well because I'm such a "nice" guy. Actually, I just don't want to see them have a heart attack shoveling it out by hand. I'm usually done in a couple of hours.

We are up to 21 now, it was 19 all night.
We've made it all the way to 2 above!
Mariposa - Thanks for the shovel offer but I wouldn't know how to use it.
Carol - Freezing rain is how Oregon's winter weather always ends... it's the only way out for us.

Sun is out but the barometer is falling.
Mariposa, you can keep your minus temps!!
Carol I was always taught to share.
Mariposa, only the GOOD things.
I know people share things like colds and flu but it's not nice. LOL
It's started snowing again. Grrrr.
