Well THIT!!!! Thursday, Thursday, Thursday!!! The question of the hour is: Is it going to SNOW here in the swamp or isn't it? It's colder'n a mother-in-law's heart.... 16º as I write this and predicted to be down to 9º before daybreak. Then, it's only supposed to get up to about 20º. We're just not used to that here in the banana belt. The big unknown is just how much snow this system is going to dump on us. According to the weather guessers it could be anywhere from NONE to as much as a foot... depending on the usual "IF"s of how it comes in and where you live. I guess we'll see what we will see! Needless to say, it's going to be an interesting weekend!
Well, here the "something wicked" comes. I'm going to the store this morning to pick up perishables just in case I can't get out in the next 3 days. You never know around here.
Guess it's going to start around mid-morning.
Those east wind gusts (50+ mph) all night makes me wonder if our roof is still intact...have to wait till it's light outside. :)
Carol - To "borrow" a phrase: I wouldn't trade your "wind" problems with a monkey on a rock! On the "plus" side, it didn't get down to the single digits they were predicting... at least not out here anyway. It actually warmed up from what I was reading when I went to bed. I woke up to a "balmy" 23º.
Well, it's here!!! Snowing sideways but things are really getting white.
I was hoping the wind would blow in into the next city but alas.
Mariposa, we may join you in the shoveling department before this is over.
