Today's cover shot: This pic is probably the last we'll see of this spectacular antler rack. This is the time of year when the bucks shed their antlers so they can grow new ones.

Saturday! Have a GREAT one!

Holy Merde! It's sleepy out! Oh! It's still oh-dark-thirty! What the heck am I doing awake??? Oh yeah! Smokey said he was hungry! Ummmm.... Maybe I can milk a little more sleep out of this! Back to bed for me!!!! Ignore the cats & wake me when the sun decides to get up!

We woke up to 29 degrees....yikes, weren't expecting it to be that cold.
Now the sun is out and it's going to be a beautiful day....cold now be heading for 50.

We have a flasher in our neighborhood! He has been seen just a few blocks from our house. I hope that he is caught soon, before his behavior escalates. It is on Google if you want to investigate.

Carol - I don't know what drives them. Portland Metro area seems to have an over-abundance of them though.

I'm surprised he hasn't been photo'd by now, most kids carry phones. They'll nab his sorry ass soon, I'm sure. I think he has a pattern of afternoons around schools. I know they have extra patrols around the NE now. Of course, he could move to a different area.

Carol- He probably lives somewhere in the area. Google had a picture but I don't know if it is just a sketch or ?????????

yeah, it's just a sketch.

I got all (six - count 'em) of my Pampas plants cut back for the winter. They are a lot of work but are really pretty during the summer. If the weather is good tomorrow, I'll torch the pile of trimmings and get rid of them for good. I used to compost them but they have too much oil in them to biodegrade real well. It takes a long time for them to break down & it's not worth the effort. I still build about ten yards of compost so I guess I can do without this stuff in the pile.
