Rainy day here in the swamp... by rain I mean "gullywasher"! I've had a couple of showers where I wondered if mi casa was going to start floating away. I can see it now: Afloat in the moat without a boat.... Is it Wednesday??? That probably explains why I feel like a piece of ham in between two slices of rye. May I be excused? I want to go play in the mud puddles. Actually, I have a craving for eggs benedict.....
No rain to speak of here....maybe you are getting it all.
I've never had eggs benedict. (why does your spell check mark 'benedict' as misspelled? Hmmmm
Getting excited about my trip to see my sister. I haven't been on a plane in 10 years!! She's in Az so I have to fly into Vegas and take a shuttle from there. I have never flown alone before. Hubby can't get away so I'm on my own.
I had help getting my reservation and my son will help me print my boarding pass. I read all the rules about packing so I think I'm all set.
POUT!!!! No eggs benedict! The restaurant didn't have any hollandaise sauce.... no benedict without the sauce! No sauce almost makes it an Egg Mc Muffin. So, I had French toast & links instead.
Carol - You'll have fun on your Az trip. Just remember to surrender your dignity at the first TSA checkpoint & you'll be fine. What airline are you flying... Alaska or Southwest?

I want a vacation. Shoot I just want a full weekend off.
Mariposa - In my humble experience I have found that vacations are highly overrated. The problem with them is that they are never long enough and you always have to come back from them to reality... and that SUCKS! The only answer is RETIREMENT and even that has SUCKY things attached.
Mariposa - Eureka!!! I have the perfect solution for you. Apply for Freddie's job! Nobody would even miss you if you took a day off & didn't tell anyone. Just to be sure you could leave a note saying "I'm out in the yard."
About that retirement thingy. My hubby seems to like it, so do I, I don't do housework any more☺️
The Freddie thing won't work. According to the new chart we report to different bosses. Going to make it hard to get a day off that way.

Carol - Good choice! Much better than Southwest. Your sister is close to the Grand Canyon? Where's your final airport... Phoenix? What's the plan then... Car Rental? Az is just so spread out.....
Mariposa - Speaking of housework... I bought a Roomba. It's that cute little robot vacuum that wanders around the house sucking up anything on the floor. I have a cleaning lady who comes in to do the major stuff. Now, if I could just get a robot to feed the cats and wash the cat dishes I'd have it whipped... especially since I almost never eat at home. I'm so spoiled and LAZY!!! ☺ ☺
Mr Ed, As I mentioned in my 2:25 post, I land in Vegas and there is a shuttle to my sis's front door. It's a 3 hour ride because they stop once for a break. Don't want to mention the destination city here.
Carol - I didn't realize there was a ground shuttle from Las Vegas. It makes sense but I'm not sure how I'd hold up on a three hour bus ride. I'm getting to the point where I can barely handle airline travel.
