Didn't we have a Monday last week?

Mariposa - Yeah, we did! And, what I remember of it was that it was pretty much a waste of my time. I spent part of the day watching a Karen Carpenter "Rainy Days & Mondays" video.

My house guests just pulled out of my driveway... headed elsewhere. It was a fun weekend but I'm not used to having "others" in my home and underfoot. I enjoyed them but I'm glad to see them go.

Mr.Ed, hope your weekend "friends" are not reading your blog - LOL.

This morning I found out that the piece of luggage I was going to use as my carry on doesn't meet the new measurement regs. We purchased the 3 piece set in 2000 so I guess a lot has changed. When I went to NY in 2004 all was fine but now the length of the carry on piece cannot be more that 24" INCLUDING the recessed handle and the wheels. Mine measures exactly 24" but does NOT include the wheels and handle. Anyway, I'm not going to chance it and will buy a smaller piece. I don't want to check it...it's just the airlines way to generate more revenue. I wonder how many they have caught that way. Probably just people like me who only fly every decade. I am not going to be gone that long, so don't need to take a lot anyway.

Carol - You can still carry it onboard and then have the flight attendant check it for you rather than put it in the bin. That way it's stowed onboard rather than in the baggage compartment. They do that all the time for the slightly oversized bags and you just claim it as you get off the plane.

Carol - BTW - They don't charge you to stow it that way.
