Today's cover shot: This mama Sparrow is a year-round resident... not just a pretty face arriving for Spring.
Saturday! If you're looking for me I'll be the guy with his butt sitting on the riding lawn mower. Lawn care day here at mi casa... groan!!! Oh well, at least the weather is going to cooperate! Have your self a GREAT Saturday... no matter what it has in store for you!
Mr Ed, (from yesterday)... I don't think we have been out that far on the Springwater trail but since I don't know where mile 7 is or the hardware store you mentioned, it's hard to tell. We rode to Gresham city limits one time. I think that was about 9 miles from where the trail starts at 92nd or close to it.
We don't go out the 205 bike path much anymore, we prefer to zig zag thru the neighborhoods all the way out to 148th. There started to be some unsavory characters on the 205 bike path. (there are some Max stops along there) and we've seen several bums sitting on the grass slope mumbling to themselves. I'm sure they are so drugged up or drunk or hung-over they'd pose no problem, but you never know. Better to be safe and pick the route we know is free of that element.
Carol - Henderson is on Johnson Creek Blvd but I can't tell you much else. All I know is I have to cross Springwater trail to get into the place... which usually draws GLARES from either hikers or bikers. I don't understand the hostility because I've never flipped off even come close to running over any of them.... even though with their attitude I've been tempted. I guess I'm just guilty because I drive.
Carol - Afterthought: There is a milepost marker on the trail right where the roadway crosses it into Henderson's. I guess that is the mileage from the starting point????
