Welcome to Sunday.... just another rainy day here in the swamp I'm afraid. Today's cover shot.... one of my three Magnolia trees already in full bloom. The other two are still just buds.
Forty Years Ago Today. Really? Forty years? April 6th, 1974 was the date they won a televised European talent show... and the rest is history!
Looks like a good day to play in my flower beds. Time to get them cleaned up.
Rain, rain, rain, rain! Yep! Must be Sunday in the swamp! Oh well, I got my grass mowed and back under control yesterday so today it can just start growing again! Did I mention I finally got my lawn mower back together? Yep! Three weeks waiting for parts and I finally drove a hundred miles round-trip to go pick them up at a different dealer. It wasn't like I ever have anything better to do..... grrrrrrrrr! I think my old dealer has permanently lost a customer.
Mariposa - Have fun playing with the posies. It's gooood therapy!
I managed to get about half of my front flower bed done. My rosebushes look a lot better now. Maybe next weekend I can get the rest of it finished
Mariposa - Your rose bushes haven't gone crazy with new growth already? Mine are looking like they are about to bud out.
No crazy growth yet. Just trying to get ahead of the game for once.
Mariposa - My Master Gardiner friend always insists they have to be pruned in January or February at the latest. She always beats on me until I get 'r done!
I'm early this year. Generally I wait until the leaves are out.
