Well, I didn't think the Blazers had it in them and they'd end up being swept by the Spurs. But, they actually played some pretty good basketball for a change and WON!!! Miracles will happen I guess. But, the bottom line is, they are just one game away from taking the rest of the summer off. Their backs are to the wall but I'd be amazed if they could end up winning again... let alone three times.
Carol. Some one finally came up with a date to move the warehouse. Since I can't get the date thing to move itself I'm here getting every thing ready. Soooooo much fun.
Carol - You fell for Mariposa's tricky writing just like I did. She gave us a long pregnant pause & we didn't see the punch line. I know about the down three curse but the way the Blazers have been playing they don't deserve to win. They're still in the tadpole stage and they're now in the deep end of the pond with the big fish. I don't think they have the toughness to beat the Spurs a second time. I wonder if Stotts will have a job next year. He just hasn't taught them that the key to winning is taking the ball to the rim and getting to the foul line. Three pointers help spread the floor but if you live by them, you die by them when they don't go in and long rebound turnovers kill you. I think I'm going to stop watching them. My blood pressure can't take them making the same "stupid" mistakes over and over and over......
Mr. Ed....you are right in the arena with Joe..he said the exact same thing. Another trouble with the Blazers is their bench (or lack thereof). No one to fall back on when the 'leaders' get tired. He watches other teams.
Yes, I didn't scroll down when reading Mariposa's comment about her vacation. I thought that was the end of the comments.
We got to 85º here in the swamp today.... just a very NICE day! So, I ventured out and got a Kraut-Polish dog with onion rings for lunch. I love those dogs.
I'm a little nervous about this Alaska Cruise I've agreed to go on. The lady who invited me is very nice and we get along very well and have a lot in common. BUT... I haven't spent an entire week in the company of a lady in a looooooong time. If you hear of a male passenger who jumped overboard in the Inside Passage... that'll probably be me!

Sooooooo pretty.
Back to the grind today. I was hoping to have Freddie inside this week to help, but with a driver still on light duty no such luck.
Mr Ed, not that it can't happen, but no team has ever won the whole thing being 3 games down.
Mariposa, I thought you were on vacation. What happened.
