Today's cover shot: After I spent two weekends cleaning out my Koi pond, my Water Lilies have decided it was time to bloom. They don't know how close they came to being on the compost pile. They didn't bloom at all last year and I was about ready to just take them out along with most of the Water Iris and Cattail plants. I guess they were just too crowded and enjoyed the extra room they suddenly got. My Koi are a lot more active now so I guess they like the extra room too. Of course, about half their pond-mates are gone now so that probably helped some too.
Whaaaa??? It rained overnight here in the swamp. It's kinda nice but we are in July.... RIGHT? Oh well, maybe it'll cool off some of our wildfires....
Mr. Ed...thanks for the update on your license plates and your car deal. Sure sounds like it's worth a trip to Salem when we are ready to buy a car.
We didn't get rain here but it's sure cloudy.
Your water lilies look so pretty.
