Today's cover shot: Mt. Hood at sunset after a day of thundercell activity. It was catching just enough of the light from sunset to give it a beautiful purple tint.
Monday, Monday. Here we go again! I've got a funeral to attend this morning... lost a friend that made the Alaska trip with the group last month. She showed no sign of problems on the cruise but last week she suddenly just died. They're not even sure why yet but it just shows how fleeting and fragile life is. I immensely dislike funerals! But it's not about me so I'll be there to say goodbye and show support to her family.
Mr Ed, So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. It's true, we just never know, so I try to enjoy each day. It's nice of you to attend, I feel the same way about funerals but it makes the family feel better. That's what counts. I'd much rather have a wake!
"Raise your glasses high and drink a toast to a great(or fill in your own description) guy!!!"
This lady was a Catholic so I thought the service was a little bit dark and stuffy. But, it was all for the family so it was closure, they have memories, and I did what good friends do.
Mariposa - I studied Catholicism for two years with classes three times a week. It was during my "who am I and what am I doing here" phase. I never did figure out what I was doing there but I did figure out I didn't fit......
