Feeling much better today. Just in time for the vacation to start. Hubby has a gig tonight so at least I'll feel up to it.

Well, we are FINALLY going to the coast this morning. We'll stop at Oswald Park for a hike then drive north to Ft. Stevens for another short hike then on to Astoria and home that route....we'll also stop on Sauvie Is for some peaches! Yum!

Gig for tonight is canceled. I can't say it breaks my heart. I'm not sure I'm up to being out most of the night. Darn drugs have me drug out.
Well, our beach trip ended about 35 miles out Hwy 26....we came up on so much traffic headed to the coast we just turned around....it was a solid line of cars as far as you could see. We couldn't believe it.
This is why we always go in the middle of the week, but we never would have believed in the volume of traffic we saw this morning!!!!!
We just happened to see a fruit stand which would be the best place to turn around so I went inside and found my peaches. At least that went right.
We will make another attempt during this next week. There are waaaaayyy too many people in this area!!!
Carol - That heavy traffic is the reason I avoid Hwy 26 when I go to the coast. I prefer to go down to Salem & across.
Mr. Ed, we wanted to go to Oswald Park and Ft Stevens and going to Salem and across would add too many miles for a day trip.
Carol - The other way I go is straight out Hwy 30 to Astoria & then south.
