We're into the late summer cooldown here in the swamp.... temps into the 80s but cooling off into the 50s at night. I noticed a couple of trees getting some color already....
I've got to make a road trip to take care of Auntie Em's ashes this weekend. It has taken a full year of fighting with her daughter but I finally got permission from the court to carry out her wishes.
Carol - North of Seattle... a small town on the waterway called La Conner. My Aunt & Uncle had a home there & that's where his ashes were spread. She wanted to join him there rather than be stored on a shelf somewhere. Her daughter wanted her ashes vaulted in a mausoleum. It took a year for the court in Las Vegas to make this ruling and I'm going to get it done before that beyotch ties it up again with an appeal. The daughter was just doing it for spite. You'll recall that this is the daughter that threatened to kill Auntie Em with Roundup. The world will be a much better place when she kicks off.
Cannot believe it's the Labor Day weekend facing us already....seems like it was just June. Wish the days would crawl like they did when I was a kid....LOL

How cute. Oh and by the way THIT! Have a great Thursday. I think I feel the weekend closing in on us.
Today's cover shot: A small ground squirrel adapting existing housing to meet her needs.
Well THIT!!!!! Here we are again. Make the most of your Thursday!
Mariposa - Just getting up for your day? Or, are you just another insomniac like me?
A little bit of both. With the heat and humidity turned up around here I get home and fall asleep early. So I wake up earlier than I really want to.
I just realized it is a three day weekend.
Three day weekend.... Woo Hooooooooo!!!!!!

Good for you. Now Auntie Em can rest in peace.
Mr. Ed - a road trip? Where are you headed with the ashes?
Clouds have rolled in but at least the temp got down to 61 so it won't be too muggy.
Mariposa, no A/C???

Carol I AC where I can at work. My office is fine but I have to do the real work in the warehouse sauna.
Mariposa - But, today... then tomorrow... and then you're free!

The humidity has dropped today so it's not too bad.
