Carol - It's gorgeous out here in the swamp this morning but the winds are starting to pick up. You're getting that direct funnel out of the Gorge so you got it first! I'm just grateful we haven't had any heavy rains recently so the tree roots are nice and firm. But with all the leaf load there will probably be some broken limbs and tops. As long as it misses the house, I'm good with it.
We are just leaving for a bike ride, but I don't know how far that will be for me... those east winds are really something. We plan to use the bike path by 205 instead of going east to 148th like we usually do. If we can get to the bike path, that is...it's 5 miles from our house and we travel east/south/east to reach it. Once there, it's all south so we only have to deal with the crosswinds. We'll see what happens.
Well, that was a short bike ride. I made it to the bike path but Joe wanted to go the regular route to 148th but I couldn't stand the wind so I turned around. Oh well, 10 miles is better than nothing.
Lot's of small branches, fir cones, etc all blowing everywhere.
