Saturday!!!! The smell of Autumn is in the air! The new TV schedule is being rolled out, the NFL kicked off its season and College football enters its second weekend of play!!!!! Yaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!

Big day for my teams of interest. The #8 Buckeyes have got Virginia Tech’s Hokies at home. Hopefully, by the end of the day the Bucks will have a better idea how their quarterback situation is going to work out. The Ducks(#3) host #7 Michigan State(Sounds like a Big 10-Pac 12 Rose Bowl matchup - too bad one of 'em has to lose). My Beavs have taken a field trip to play the Rainbow Warriors in Hawaii. Ummmmm... How come I never got field trips to Hawaii when I was in school??????????? Oh, that's right... I didn't go for football.... I went for the GIRLS!!!

Fall officially arrives in two weeks but it feels like it's closer than that. I have a tendency to 'rush' the seasons though so it's probably just me! But, despite what the calendar says, have yourself a bodacious autumn Saturday!

Ahhh. After hitting 90 yesterday we are getting a cool down today. Looking for a high in the 70s and staying cool throughout the week. I can love with that.

Mariposa - We're headed for triple digits here in the swamp today. If I'm needed I'll be camped out with the AC watching football. ☺

Mr. Ed, it may feel like Fall to you but with temps in the high 80's and low 90's for the next few days, it doesn't feel like it to me. I will say tho, the mornings do have a bit of coolness in them they didn't have a few weeks ago. Down to 55 this morning at 5:20. Going to go up quickly to 93. UGH. I really am getting sick of those temps. I am ready for our (GASP) RAIN!!!

Carol - It's that difference in the feel of the morning air that makes me start thinking about Autumn. These high temps aren't really "Indian Summer" because we haven't had a frost yet.... but that's what it feels like. I just get impatient when a season just 'hangs around' after it should just give it up and go away. Let's get on to the next one!!!!

One football game I didn't mention but I'm going to love seeing the outcome.... USC & Stanford. One of them HAS to lose..... smirk, smirk, smirk! And, it's a Pac 12 conference game. smirk, smirk, smirk!!! But, no matter how it comes out, they'll both be future obstacles for the Ducks!

Final - USC wins 13 - 10

Hmmmmmmm.... The Ducks are going to have to pick it up in the second half or they're gonna get their tail feathers pinned up around the back of their heads!!

Hubby's band got a last minute gig. Got the call last night for tonight. Now their idiot wanna be manager is over an hour late with the drum kit. Good thing they sound good with out the drums.

Mariposa - Such is the price of 'stardom'!

I'm sure glad the Ducks got their act together at half-time & looked impressive in their win. 46-27 the final. A win is a win but did you SEE that interception by defensive back Ifo Ekpre-Olomu???? That interception will make the Pac-12 highlight reels for a LOOOOOOONNNNG time to come. Impossible catch but he made it look like an every day event!

My Beavs are looking good against Hawaii. ☺

It looks like the Buckeyes have some work to do to make their replacement quarterback more effective. Some work on their field goals will help as well. This loss to the Hokies will probably knock them way out of the rankings.
