Hump Day! Have a Happy one! It's starting off with the coldest morning of the year so far with lows forecast in the 20s. We're also supposed to get winds and some moisture... probably tomorrow for the moisture. It's unusual for the swamp to get this kind of weather in November but its all part of that big Polar Vortex thingy! Note to self: Bring in the Brass Monkeys!
COLD, WINDY, ARRGHHHH! Guess who is staying INSIDE for the duration. I absolutely hate, hate, hate this cold wind! Tomorrow they are saying snow and ice early .. approx 7 to 9:00 then warming a little in the afternoon. I'll just be glad when it's all over. Thankfully we don't get this type of weather as often as we used to.
Carol - I am so happy I don't live where you live. Here in the banana belt it's a nice balmy 25ยบ & absolutely NO wind this morning. We had a little overnight along with a couple of short-term power outs but nothing that caused any problem for Grandpa Jade in his toasty greenhouse. 85 years old and he's not gonna die on my shift!!!!
Noonish, temps in the mid 40s, nothing but brilliant sunshine... WHAT A DAY!! The '57 & I are headed out for lunch.... a kraut dog I think but we'll see when we get there!
No kraut dog......... the dog house was closed for some reason. Suffer, whine, whine. I settled for French fries & a coke.. not a very well balanced lunch I'll admit but it filled the gap & I'll live! I don't know what it is with the dog trailer but they seem to be closed a lot lately. That's probably a sign I need to find a new "favorite" spot for lunch.
Mariposa - I've been following the weather you're getting. It is just plain UGLY... especially for so early in the year. Keep that Impala on the pavement....

Looks like we won't get out of the 30s for a while. Winter has shown up a decided to stick around.
