Today's cover shot: So calm, so peaceful - Rural America on a Summer day not too long ago.

Sunday - Make the most of it & it'll just go away! ☺

Well guess what is howling again...yep, it's the east wind.
sigh

Forecast for the next few days is cloudy with a shower so hopefully that will shut the &#@* wind off.

My sister will be visiting us on Wed and Thurs and I'm sure she will miss her warm and sunny weather. We always have to turn our heat up as she is no longer used to our temps.

Carol - I have found that I enjoy it a lot more when I turn up the heat. I've had a fire in the fireplace all afternoon... it just seemed like that kind of day.

I've had a band of pixies here all day today turning my "bear cave" into a holiday zone. They decorated the outside & then we went and bought a tree & brought it in to decorate. Hundreds of acres of trees and I have to buy one from the local FFA guys.... go figure. I think if it was left to me I wouldn't do anything but they never give me that option. And, the tree trip had to include an eggs benedict breakfast... yum! But, guess who picked up the tab???? Bingo!

I always enjoy the way it looks after they get it done but I have to grumble at them along the way of course. It's fun being the resident curmudgeon! And, except for the commercial hype and the soul numbing music, I really don't mind the holidays any more. The pixies just don't let me.

Out for Chinese tonight... really good Chinese I might add. Again, not my choice and not an optional event... but fun anyway.
