From last night, I don't know why I listen to the weather people either but they missed this one. The standard joke/line: Must be nice to be wrong over half the time and still have your job.

Great cover shot! A true fixer-upper! :)

Today is the Winter Solstice... the shortest day of the year. But, it also is the longest night of the year. And, I just learned that tonight will be the longest night EVER... as in the longest earth has ever experienced in its four point five billion year history. I had been under the delusion that one of my dates held that honor but I stand corrected.

I'm still wondering where the other (many) inches of rain I'm supposed to be getting, actually went to. I'll bet those rascals from California kidnapped it. Oh well, they need it.

Ahh another weekend is winding down. I finally felt like hitting my sewing room and putting in a few stitches.

It will be a short but broken up work week. Just 31/2 days . I hate it when a holiday falls in the middle of the week. It messes everything up.

Carol how was the visit with your sister?

Mariposa, the visit was great! We went to the tavern where I used to play shuffleboard with our cousins and we had a mini reunion. The cousins had not seen my sister in over 50 years!
We also had lunch (at the Wooden Chicken Pub, Mr Ed) with a high school friend of my sister. Great food!
All in all it was a fun time.
She is off to Cancun on Wed for a week....sigh

Carol - It's great you guys got to spend the time together. Is Cancun someplace she likes or is this a first visit for her?
