Today's cover shot: Winter wave action on the Jetty at Winchester Bay. It's always alive on the Oregon Coast!

Saturday! We made it! Now, what do we do with it? I've got a contractor coming by to give me an estimate on some home remodeling I'm thinking of doing. I never seem to have enough turmoil in my life so let's tear something apart & make a lot of dust!!!!!!!!

Oh well.... have a great day!

It's about time for me to get my drivers license renewed. Looks like today will be a good day to get it done.

Mr. Ed, what are you thinking about tearing apart?

Mariposa, just last month I renewed my drivers license. What a joke, I had to look in something and read a line of letters and tell them I saw flashes of light off to the left and right. That was IT! My license is now good for 8 years!! I'll be 80 years old by then. Geez, I'm all for letting older people drive but I think everyone over 70 should be tested behind the wheel before getting renewed. I hear so many stories about old people confusing the brake and gas pedals. I'm not 'there' yet, but who knows what my old brain will be like in the coming years.

Today is the "Third Day of Christmas... that day set aside French Hens????

Mariposa - Don't they go by your birthday for D.L. renewal? Come to think of it, I guess there is a window around your actual D.O.B. here in the swamp.

Carol - I've got a loft area I'm thinking about walling in to convert it to an enclosed room. It just involves putting a wall about three feet back from the railing overlook and installing a different doorway into an upstairs bath. That would give me two guest rooms for sleepovers. Right now, the way this house is divided, it's only a two BR house. If I ever decide to sell, it would increase the salability. I'm just exploring my options to see if it will even work. I'm not planning on going anywhere but you never know....

Mr. Ed I don't like to wait until the last minute. If I get up and go when they open I don't have to wait. I was in and out in about 10 minutes.
