Happy hump day. I'm still trying to get excited about wasting my Saturday morning.The boss is bringing in a motivational speaker and everyone has to attend . There is no way a speaker is going motivate the fine group of people I work with.
Mariposa - At least you'll get paid time and a half while you sit and nap through the propaganda. Somebody needs to whisper into your bosses ear that the best employee motivator is first money and then working conditions. They're just looking for increased work output without having to pay for it.
What they need to do put a boot up some people's backside. We have counter people that sit on stools, and tell the customer the part he needs is in the corner and tells him the part number he needs to look for. Most of our idiots spent more energy trying to get out of work instead of just doing it. I generally don't have time to chit chat, it takes me all 10 hours I put in to get everything done, and they want to motivate me... . I'll go in but I won't be happy.
It sounds like management needs to get its "schtuff" together and kick some butt!
On the up side there are green things sprouting in my flower beds.
Annuals?? Perennials??? Weeds??? I had frost again overnight and more snow in the heights over the past few days. All my early bloomers are about done but my rose bushes look like they could bud some flowers soon. And, my Exbury Azaleas are blossoming now. My regular Azaleas flowered a couple of weeks ago. It's being a strange Spring here in the swamp.
I've been clearing out the weeds, it's too early for annuals so just my . My tree peonies have their buds, I just love the smell when they bloom.

Oh yeah!!!! I drove it to my mechanic & dropped it off for an evaluation of what it needs. Except for the color combination, it's very much like the one I had years ago. That one was candy apple red bottom with a white top. I had it painted with hand rubbed lacquer so it looked like you could reach about six inches into the paint. I LOVED that car but the court thought my Ex loved it more!
Women you just can't trust them...
Once burned, lesson learned!!!!!! But, I really don't blame women.... I just haven't found one I want to take home. I have found some very cute playmates but forever's a loooooong time!
