Today's cover shot: This is Horace... one of the flock that makes its home here with me. He's strictly a family guy but I don't know which one of the girls is his mate and it's really hard to tell them apart since they have no markings. He's very aggressive and is always the first to attack when a larger bird such as a hawk or raven comes around. But, he's also the most tame of the flock and seems to enjoy being nearby when I'm out working. I've never been able to get him to land on my shoulder although I have gotten him to land on my outstretched arm several times. He's a sucker for bits of torn up bread slice.
The weekend. What to do, what to do. Mixed bag of weather for the weekend, some sun, some rain. I'll find something to get into I'm sure.
It's headed for the highest temps of the season so far here in the swamp. But, it's only expected to be near 90 for a few days. That just seems like summer.... finally... to me! ...♫♫♪bring out the soda, and pretzels, and beer!♫♫♪ Mowing this morning before it gets too hot! Don't want to "bust a sweat"!
89° for a high today at mi casa. Still holding at 83° & kinda muggy at 8:00 O'clock. High humidity is just the curse of early summer here in paradise. Tomorrow, a little warmer they say but the humidity should be lower. We'll see I guess............
