Today's cover shot: The Praying Mantis is so unique and I really love to watch these guys. I don't think they are native to "O" but so many people have purchased the eggs for their hatch 'n release they've now become a common variety garden insect. When they first hatch in the spring they are less than ¼ inch long. By summer they will have grown in size to four inches or more.
The swamp reached a high of 85ยบ today & it has already started to cool as the sun goes down. I don't have any plans so I think I'll just throw a couple of Brots on the smoker for dinner. I don't have a clue what I'll have with it though. My pantry is pretty slim pickin's. Maybe I should just go out.... much easier all the way around. Actually, I feel more like just kickin' back, have a couple of brewskis & forget the food. I know I'll regret that later though.... Decisions, decisions!
My "Side Dish" solved the problem for me. She called & asked what my plans were & then showed up with a tossed salad & Chinese take out. She's starting to become a "habit".... but I have to admit that I kinda like it.
Your cheese sandwich sounds like something I would have created.... if I had the makings (namely bread) for it. I'm not very good at grocery shopping and it seems like I'm always out of whatever it takes to put something together. I never buy junk foods like potato chips or stuff like that. That's why I eat out so often I guess. It's either that or starve.

They sure are cute little critters.
Better weather today, cooler than it has been with lower humidity. I can live with this.

My choice was grilled cheese, nothing fancy but it was something.
