Today's cover shot: The rest of my lilies have done their thing but this guy came on late because it's a new planting. For some reason I haven't discovered, my deer don't eat the lilies. They'll pluck the blossoms right off the gladiolas. Makes one wonder..... Just another thing to ponder when I can't sleep at the wee hours of the morning....
So pretty I really really like lilies. Hump day so soon, where has this week gone?
I don't have a clue why but I am dragging my butt today. I think I need a new battery but I'm not sue where they'd stick it. It could be just a lack of sleep from the past several nights. I don't like the AC on when I sleep but I can't seem to sleep well when it's too warm. It's funny though because I have no problem falling asleep sitting in my favorite chair. Maybe I just need to give in to the dark side and go sit in it for a couple of hours & do what comes naturally....

Arrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! We hit the dreaded triple digits! I think it now qualifies as hot enough to cook an egg on the sidewalk... but I'm not gonna try it. It undoubtedly would just be a mess to clean up later!
Went out and picked up a Papa Murphy Take 'n Bake pizza and I'm gonna fire up the smoker to cook it. My "side dish" is joining me with a salad & I'll man the bar while dinner cooks. Sounds like a perfect way to end Hump Day but I think we'll eat in because I'm a wuss and it's just too damn hot outside!
