I lost one of my outside group yesterday. The youngest one.... three year old Timmy, got out in the road and got hit by a car. When he didn't come for dinner I went looking and found him. It's a shame but so far there is nothing I can do about the dangers they face. I've only been able to catch him once and it took over a year before I could even touch him. He was the best hunter of the group.. always catching something he'd share with me or the others. He was a good kitty with a lot of promise.
Being mostly feral makes it tough to get their trust and friendship. It's rough when I lose one but I can only do what they let me and the rest is up to them. With all the time I put into winning their trust it's like losing a friend when I lose one.

Ahhhhhhhhh...... The sound you hear is the silence of Saturday. Enjoy!
Nothing like curling up with a cat to start the weekend.

I'm so sorry. I know you take great care of all the critters, I hope the rest of them will stay safe.
