Got some bad news regarding my niece, her cancer is spreading. If the next round of chemo doesn't work the doctors are recommending hospice. I'm trying to be there by for my sister, I know she is having a rough time dealing.
Mariposa - So sorry to hear that. That is HEAVY stuff to deal with and it makes everything else not worth worrying about. I know it sounds like it's past that point but I hope for her.
Mariposa - It's not gruesome at all. No one wants their loved ones to suffer when the end result is pretty much ordained. It's only natural to want every minute you can get with them but there comes a point when it's suffering we wouldn't subject our pets to.... Etch everything about her into your memory. As long as she is there she's not gone! I can still hear a small little laugh my step father had and he's been gone about twenty five years. All of us are only here temporarily but the memories live long after we're gone.

Our only hope now will be for an easy passing. It sounds gruesome to think that way, but at this point it's all we have.
