It's Leap Year's Day! Yaaayyyyy! How come it's not a Federal holiday... everything else is!
Today is the day my late sister chose to celebrate her birthday. She was actually born on February 28th but she always chose to lie about it saying the hospital didn't know how to handle a birth on the extra calendar day so they set the clocks back and falsified her birth certificate. Nobody seemed to mind her little fantasy and in her mind she was still a teenager when she died due to complications of aging. Her story always moves itself to center stage in my thoughts every Leap Year Day.

I'm not sure I would like to have been born on leap day. I would still be a teenager and in high school. I shudder at the thought.
