Today's cover shot: Looking into Mt. St. Helen's crater... Hundreds of very small earthquakes have once again been recorded beneath the mountain leading to speculation that it is refilling its magma chamber with molten lava. Today is the anniversary of the big bang 36 years ago that blew off the top 1700 feet of the mountain. St. Helens experiencing the quakes is of very little concern and totally expected. It's just considered part of the rebuilding process. What's drawing the interest is the swarm of quakes recently recorded under Mt. Hood... another so called "dormant" volcano just 50 miles east of Portland. It's always somethin'!
