Ahhhhhhhhhh........ Saturday! Record heat forecast here in the swamp today. That's okay! Let 'er bake! I don't have a thing on my schedule so I might just wash a couple of cars. Sounds like a fun thing to do on a Saturday!
Today's cover shot: Reign Creek through Aspen Hill.... running kinda low right now.
Not bad. Those people really know how to rake in the money. From my head count they took in 8 grand before we walked in the door. Then the sales pitch begins. It's not as hands on as I thought it would be. There are about 5 people to a machine, that means for each technique taught one person gets to sew, and the rest get to watch. I don't think I'll fall for that again.
This class was AFTER you had already purchased the machine? How does it go? "Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me." I wonder... Do these people also do Time Share sales pitches on the side?
The class is a techniques class to learn all the different things you can do with the machine. . Fortunately for me I can watch and pick up on how to do it. I just don't like the way it's done.
I understand that completely. You come away with a bad taste in your mouth if you're paying for what you think will per personalized instruction and what they give you is far short of that mark. I don't suppose they asked for class critique or a customer satisfaction survey? You could always send them one in writing telling them they fell short. It could be that they won't care one way or the other but it could also be that they never expected someone with your capabilities would be attending. And, if you paid for the class you certainly have a right to criticize if it fell short of what you expected it to be. ☺
98ยบ in the shade so far here in the Swamp.... Unfortunately, the shade is melting and we're a long way from the hot part of the day! Oooooh, I can hardly wait for that! I can't remember exactly when but we actually cracked the triple digit mark a few weeks ago here in the swamp.... got to 102 or 103 I think. This is prime weather for some thunderstorm activity....
Well, it's certainly none of my business but I would complain. There's a big difference between "hands on" and a "demonstration". But, as long as you're satisfied with the goodies.... zipping my lip!

Ok so I didn't get much hands on, but I did come away with lots of goodies.

I'll say something especially when they will want me to sign up for the next one.
