Today's cover shot: An extremely rare rolling Cirrus cloud made even more rare by the ice crystals refracting the sun's light into a beautiful rainbow. When these form, they rarely last longer than a couple of minutes due to the complexity of conditions it takes to create it.

TGIF!!!!

It looks like tonight will be our first sub-freezing night here at mi casa. Almost midnight and the temps are in the low thirties. It's been blowing wintery weather up higher but nothing down at this level until now. We usually get a light dusting of snow here by Thanksgiving but, of course, it doesn't last. I got my solarium complete though & it's about 60ยบ in there right now.... nice 'n toasty for my 85 year old Jade plant.

We are expecting near record temps today, then the bottom drops out tonight.

Oh well T.G.I.F. and happy week off for me.
